Wael Kaawach’s career spans for over 24 years. It includes the establishment of multiple companies and leading a holding company. He is currently the CEO of The Healthcare Development Holding Company (www.hdh.com.sa), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Since HDH inception in 2008, it has established over 6 subsidiary companies and many international affiliations that are specialized in various healthcare focused businesses with projects in Saudi Arabia and the region. It also has an affiliation with Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA (CCF) that resulted in the first Cleveland Clinic Global  Solutions (CCGS) office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

Dr. Kaawach has taken a leadership role in clinical, business and community settings. With strong planning  and result oriented strategy. He was a co-founder and led the medical operations of a 300-bed greenfield private hospital in Jeddah, the International Medical Center (www.imc.med.sa) and implemented a disease based clinical centers with emphasis on outcomes reporting and  clinical staff integration. As Chairman, Dr. Kaawach was instrumental in the development of Sudair Pharma Co. (www.sudairpharma.com) , that is focused on the local 
manufacturing of unmet needs of many pharmaceuticals including Oncology drugs. He had also been elected as a  Vice-Chairman to Saned Charity Organization that  supports the needs of children with cancer. 
Dr. Kaawach completed his training and fellowship at the  Harvard University Orthopedic Surgery Program. He then  joined The Harvard Medical School Faculty as an  Instructor and Consultant in Orthopedic Surgery, and later appointed as the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at the Boston VA Healthcare System. 
Dr Kaawach has completed multiple executive courses including Digital Business Transformation at MIT, ValueBased Healthcare at Harvard Business School, and The  Progressive Board and Directors Masterclass by Corporate World Intelligence. He has earned many local and 
international awards including a Commendation Award from the US Department of Veteran Affairs and has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. His Moto in life is: “Faith is in your Heart, Proven by your Deeds”.
