Entitled “World Diabetes Day” .. “Magrabi” delivers a lecture to raise awareness of diabetes
Magrabi Eye Hospital, Riyadh, participated in the celebrations of the World Diabetes Day, by giving a medical lecture entitled “World Diabetes Day” delivered by Dr. Ghazai Althubaiti and Dr. Tariq Alhamad at the hospital’s main headquarters. Countries around the world celebrate World Diabetes Day on November 14 of each year, in order to raise awareness of the risks and complications of diabetes, how to confront it and ways to control blood sugar levels. Magrabi Hospitals and Centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were keen to participate in the celebration of World Diabetes Day 2021 in cooperation with the Saudi Diabetes and Endocrinology Association, by conducting medical examinations and providing the necessary medical recommendations at the headquarters of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The lecture given by Dr. Ghazai Althubaiti and Dr. Tariq Alhamad, inside the hospital’s headquarters, came under the title “World Diabetes Day” in order to shed light on diabetes, with the aim of spreading the necessary awareness of the dangers of diabetes, as well as introducing it, its symptoms and complications, as well as ways to deal with a diabetic. The lecture also highlighted diabetic retinopathy as a serious complication of diabetes, with the aim of introducing the disease, its diagnosis and treatment, in addition to talking about all eye problems related to the retina resulting from complications of diabetes that affect the retina.
